As as news associate, I will rotate through three different departments at CNBC to learn about broadcast and digital news.

I currently work on the investigative team. I assist with research, interviewing sources and producing CNBC Investigates’ stories.

Before, I produced segments for the show Closing Bell, airing 3-5 p.m. every weekday. It focuses on the last hour of the trading day and the day’s market activities.

Check out some segments I produced:

Southwest Airlines cuts forecast due to government shutdown: Airlines cuts forecast due to government shutdown from CNBC.

Interview with Hormel Foods CEO Jim Snee: had our fourth consecutive record year of Spam sales: Hormel CEO from CNBC.

My first rotation was reporting and writing for the website. I wrote about technology and business, like lab-produced collagen, successful Shark Tank winners, Post Office prices and the release of the new Apple Watch. If you’d like to read more, click here.

During the summer of 2017, I was a scholar as part of the CNBC Summer Fellowship program. I split my time between producing on the show Closing Bell and working on the Breaking News desk.

I produced my own segments on Closing Bell by assisting producers with research, making graphics and pre-interviewing guests.

On the Breaking News desk, I was sent out on shoots, wrote webstories, attended news meetings, ran the CNBC Travel Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and assisted on the set at the New York Stock Exchange.
